The Leiber Museum
The museum of world renowned luxury handbag designer Judith Leiber has purchased one of her own handbags, a 1950s fur doctor satchel, at an online auction from Kerri Mangold’s vintage handbag collection that she had with partial proceeds going to charity. Kerri says “I’m absolutely thrilled that THE Judith Leiber herself bought my handbag. She’s the greatest handbag designer that ever lived. All her handbags are works of art. It’s quite an honor. It’s the equivalent of having Paul McCartney buy your guitar.” When she acquired the rare handbag she knew it was special and made sure to take good care of it and it miraculously survived several scary residential fires and robbery attempts unscathed. Kerri summarizes, “It’s now back with its rightful owner.” The Leiber Museum is located at 446 Old Stone Hwy, East Hampton, NY.
Happenstance Movie
Kerri had a small part in the independent film Happenstance starring LA based actor Christopher Emerson and includes many recognizable Chicago tv and theatre actors.
